Local gang Catwalk joined Graeme Watson this morning on Breakfast with Taylah to cover 80's band The Someloves tune Melt.

Something from a earlier time with The Someloves, a short live band kicking around Perth nearly 30 years ago.

Scott has been bringing you the heavy tunes on the a Wednesday night for close to 10 years. He likes it loud and heavy and we love him for it.

  • This weeks feature album comes from legendary DJ & broadcaster Gilles Peterson, his influential Brownswood Recordings label turning their attention to Melbourne's burgeoning contemporary jazz scene with a new compilation. 
Across 9 tracks from 9 different artists, the compilation provides a perfect snapshot of the amazing sounds emerging from jazz rooted mindset in Melbourne, the final product often veering more into the realms of hip-hop, house and r&b. 
The cohesive collection of boundary-pushing and forward thinking sounds, best served Sunny Side Up.
  • This weeks local feature comes from relative newcomers to the Perth scene, The Mascara Snakes. The group feature some experienced local musos from the scene, including members of Last Quokka and Debbie Downers, displaying their chops over the last 12 months through constant gigging, including support slots for the likes of No Age and Shannon And The Clams, and scoring a coveted slot at Camp Doogs this year. 
They're now ready to unleash their debut, self-titled EP on the world, packing 6 tracks of garage rock and punk sounds, lyrically exploring topics from quitting cigarettes, motorcycles, and even iconic American painter & TV host Bob Ross.
